Mission Statement

Our goal is to ensure that all students have access to high quality, culturally responsive instruction in all content areas. KAPPA cadets will develop strong work habits through a shared and inclusive curriculum that is culturally responsive and digitally accessible to all students. Professors will know every student well and provide the necessary academic, social and emotional support,  allowing all students to persevere, grow and learn. We will build strong relationships with families through open and ongoing communication about student progress as well as opportunities for additional support and enrichment.

Vision Statement

At KAPPA VI, we strive to advance equity by providing all students in our school community with an "Ivy League Middle School Environment” on the South Shore of Queens, which fully prepares ALL students academically, socially and emotionally for college and the twenty-first century digital workforce.  With the unwavering support of families and the community, we will build our cadets’ character and provide a safe environment in which to thrive. With an emphasis on an assertive discipline structure, we will challenge our students with a robust curriculum that is engaging and culturally relevant. The professors at KAPPA VI will promote excellence by creating an environment that is academically and emotionally supportive for all. We pride ourselves on the level of inclusivity, professionalism and collaboration that is demonstrated as all members of the KAPPA VI community breathe life into our Commitment to Excellence.
